When you wake up, do some stretching exercises; or really any kind of gentle exercise that gets your body moving. Also eat some fruit; and something that will stick with you and keep you from going hungry during the shift--like oatmeal or something. Do not eat anything really heavy or fatty the night before or that morning.

I would probably sleep in Friday pretty long. I would never sleep till 5 pm, but that's just me. I'd still want to get in a nap between the shifts.

That's all I can think of right now.
